Recently, users of the YANHUA Digimaster 3 encountered a common hurdle while attempting to modify mileage for specific Toyota Prius models. The issue was articulated succinctly: “Test Clip is not sitting on IC properly, so unable to do any mileage for 2014 Toyota Prius ZVW30 and 2016 Toyota Prius ZVW50.”
In fact, using a clip can easily cause poor contact. We recommend removing the chip and soldering it to the OBP adapter for reading. As shown in the picture, place the chip at the position of the red square drawn.
However, removing the chip requires additional tools and expertise. These will take seconds to do the job instead of removing and installing IC Chip from IC Chip board which will be long process. So, is there any other way?
