I was requested to correct the mileage on this 2006 Renault Scenic after replacing a faulty instrument panel. In this case, I will be doing it using Renault Renolink… Follow me on this article to find out how…
Look at the old mileage: 92516 miles.
Using Renolink 1.87 in Red :
Going to plug the cable, start the software and get everything ready.
Renolink is connected, and the software is ready, turn on the ignition (press the Start button for 8 seconds and it should turn on and stay on.
Renolink software is loading successfully, select “Tachometer”, then click on ” Scan” and wait “Finished scanning”.
TDB is my dash.
So let me load 540 TDB, then click on “Scan”.
And it is scanned out , here we go.
Close.
Open my TDB and we establish communication.
Select TDB for Scenic 2 Johnson Controls (93c56), then click on “Read KM”.
Then enter ” 113600″ to write.
Let’s see if it was changed actually, it doesn’t work.
This happens when you don’t read the instructions:
Changes are made with ignition off and the driver door open, after that disconnect one of the battery terminals.
So, just follow the instruction this time, right kilometers again…
Then, look at there, 70599 kilometer, it’s a little bit less than 113600.
That’s it, that’s how you do change the mileage on Renault with Renolink 1.87.
